Toshira Maldonado is a seasoned birthworker, educator, and advocate with over 26 years of experience supporting Black mothers and families. As the founder of Most Beautiful W.O.M.B. Inc., she leads trauma-informed community initiatives focused on Black maternal health, mental wellness, breastfeeding awareness, and infant mortality prevention.

The Most Beautiful W.O.M.B. exists to uplift Women on a Mission to Birth. The acronym W.O.M.B. stands for Women Overcoming Major Barriers, and that’s exactly who they serve as a grassroots nonprofit organization committed to improving Black maternal health and mental well-being.

Through advocacy, community birthwork, trauma-informed care, and education, Most Beautiful W.O.M.B. provides culturally-congruent, holistic support to birthing women and families in under-resourced communities — helping them not just survive, but thrive.
