Founded by Angeline Irrizarri, Empower Mamasita Services supports and empowers moms from marginalized communities to be informed partners in their perinatal care team through education.

Equity in Postpartum grant funding is allowing Empower Mamasita Services to further serve Latinx/Black birthing people with a recent NICU admission—as well as recent immigrants giving birth in the United States for the first time—and offer postpartum workshops. Workshops will aid in improved postpartum health which will be a vital tool for increasing the effectiveness of postpartum discharge education.
